Almost there!

Well, it's been a little while since I updated. Somehow I get behind with my sewing and an outfit drags on for weeks and weeks. Sometimes I get caught up in little details and just fall in love and lose myself. This week I've been dog/house sitting, and I've treated it like an artist's retreat! I've accomplished a lot, and I'll be able to post the new outfit Sunday, tomorrow! Here is a sneak peak:

    Exquisite work! Do you ever tat lace for your clothing creations? Or other types of handmade lace?

    Thank you so much! I've decided that tatting, in the fine cord that I get from the lace store, is still too coarse for this scale. I do have a long piece of Bucks Point lace that I made several years ago that I've been saving for something special.

    I wish I had the time to make bobbin lace now. I could do it in the evenings, but I have so many books I want to read. I also want to try bobbin lace in a finer thread. There are too many things I want to do!
