Oh my gosh, Simon! Will you just LOOK at those clothes. They are so pretty and I'm just amazed by all the work put into them. Those bullion-stitch roses. All those tucks! And I love your designs. That's an adorable Little Red Ridinghood and the little girl in the white frock and pantalettes is just so adorable. Wow. All I can say is, wow. And thank you, for putting these pictures up for us to see. I can really understand why you'd want to make your own doll to wear these clothes.
I'm so glad you like them! The white outfit is actually the underwear I make to go with all the dresses. I made the skirts too short (I made four of each dress) and just put a ribbon with them. My regulars bought them, even though they had them already. I love my regulars! I'll be making OOAKs this time and putting more work into each one.
For the smocking, I'm using two threads on half scale pleats. Do you think I should do the scallop with one or two threads? I've never done one before.
I started working some embroidery on this new fabric and it is not going well! I'll just do a hem stitch on the current piece and keep practicing until it looks better.
Thank you, Susie! That outfit is from the little red riding set. I used all homespun-type fabrics and I don't think I'll ever use them again! Too bulky!

I have to admit, I don't know. The stuff you're sewing is way out of my league. You might have to do a test piece of each, just to see?

DeleteExquisite work, Simon! I particularly adore the outfit third photo down with the green pleated skirt - it's perfect!
